Subject:
Order to authorize the sale of the Pleasant Hill Fire Station property and the exchange of certain abutting property in connection with buyer's plans to use the property.

ACTION: Council action is anticipated.
Summary:
The Pleasant Hill Fire Station has been found by the Town Council to be surplus property. Following a competitive bidding process, the Town Council voted on May 9, 2011 to authorize the Town Manager to enter a Purchase and Sale Agreement for the Fire Station property with David Hembre. The Purchase and Sale Agreement was entered into July 11, 2011 and subsequently extended. The agreed upon sales price is $127,000.

To consummate the sale contemplated by the Purchase and Sale Agreement, it is necessary to complete a land exchange with the easterly abutter to the Fire Station that will adjust the shape of the Fire Station lot to make it more useable.

A copy of the order and a survey depicting the property is attached. The shaded areas on the plans show the land subject to the exchange.
