The property owners at 413 Blackstrap Road are requesting the Town Council release a sewer easement on their property. The sewer easement was granted to the Town many years ago. Our records do not indicate any specific reason for the easement. Staff in the Community Development Department assumes the easement may have been granted to the Town in anticipation of a possible subdivision development. It is very unlikely that sewer will expand to this area of town and Waste Water Superintendent Pete Clark has no objection to the easement release request. Finally, the easement leads to the back part of the property which is now under a conservation easement to the Falmouth Land Trust.
We have attached several documents including the following:
- Letter from Attorney Richard Olson, representing the owners.
- Easement deed
- Conservation Easement
- Plan
- Easement release
