Meeting called to order at 4:07 p.m.
Members present: Cynthia Chamberlain, Mary Jane Pillsbury, Renee Fernandes-Abbott and
Bruce Sauvageau
Members absent: Patrick Tropeano
Also present: Michael Hartman
Motion made and seconded to elect Renee Fernandes-Abbott as acting clerk: 4-0-0.
Discussion ensued regarding the scheduled election for a Proposition 2 ½ override. The Administrator presented updated state aid figures.
A motion made by Renée Fernandes-Abbott and seconded by Bruce Sauvageau to cancel the scheduled election: 4-0-0.
The Board discussed school transportation fees in light of the fact that the state will no longer reimburse for transportation. It was proposed that a subcommittee be created consisting of members of the School Committee, Finance Committee, Board of Selectmen and Administration to examine school transportation issues.
Motion made and seconded to adjourn the special meeting at 4:55 pm: 4-0-0.
