1.10.11 Conservation Commission Minutes
Minutes of the Taunton Conservation Commission January 10, 2011


Present:  Chair Brian Marques, Vice Chair Neil Kelly, Commissioners Debra Botellio, Ernest Enos, Marla Isaac, Steven Turner.  Commissioner Renwick Chapman arrived at 6:18 pm.  

Motion to approve the minutes of 12-20-10, ST, second DB, so voted.

Continued Certificate Of Compliance
1. Liberty & Union Industrial Park, Taunton Dev. Corp, (COC), SE73-1653  Motion to continue to February 7, 2011, DB, second MI, so voted.

Public Meeting
1. 80 Diniz Drive, Turner, (RDA), DSE-1005  Field report states that this project is for the construction of a 10’ x 20’ pool house within the 100-foot buffer zone of a BVW.  Due to the snow cover, MR was unable to verify the wetland line; therefore she recommends that the TCC continue this project to the February 7th meeting.  Motion to open the hearing, DB, second MI, so voted.  Motion to continue to February 7, 2011, DB, second ST, so voted

Continued Public Hearing
1. 342 Winthrop Street, St. Germain, (NOI), SE73-2463  Field right) side of Winthrop Street just past Harvard Street.  This filing also requires a wetland line verification.  Due to the snow covering, MR was unable to verify the wetland line.  MR met with John Sousa, engineer for the project, and discussed some options for the storm water management system.  He said he would look into the changes which may require less pipe and perhaps smaller diameter pipe for the infiltration system.  MR recommends that the TCC continue this project to the February 7th meeting.  This project is scheduled to meet with the DIRB on January 25th, and the Planning Board on February 3rd.  Motion to continue to February 7, 2011, ST, second DB, so voted.

Public Hearings
1. 47 Waverly Street, Woolley, (ANRAD), SE73-2461  Field report states that this project is for approval of a wetland delineation performed by Robert Murphy of Conservation Consultants in November, 2010.  Due to the snow cover, MR was unable to verify the wetland line, therefore MR recommends that the TCC continue this project to February 7th meeting.  Motion to open the hearing, DB, second MI, so voted.  Motion to continue to February 7, 2011, DB, second NK, so voted.



Other Business
1. MAAC Conference.  Let MR know who will be attending.

2. Council Chambers @ Maxham School will be available for meetings starting in February.  Motion to have the TCC meetings begin at 6:30pm and to move the meetings to the council chambers at Maxham School starting February 7, 2011, ST, second DB, so voted.

3. Sign Conflict of Interest Law Form.  


Motion to adjourn, DB, second ST, so voted.  Meeting ended at 6:22pm.
