RUTLAND PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
April 9, 2013

Present: Norman Anderson, chairman; Richard Williams; Addison Redfield, Marilyn Sidoti, Tim Nahrwold
Addison moved to accept the minutes with corrections, Marilyn 2nd, Norman in favor. Tim and Dick abstained.
- Referenced: Email from Jeff Abare on 6 Olivia Lane:
Mr. Abare wants to swap a small piece of land (approximately 1000 sq. ft.). Discussion ensued after plan was reviewed. Chairman will contact Mr. Abare to inform him that the Board needs to see more detail (utilities, etc.). Suggest: Professional engineered plan.
- Mr. Bill Senecal and Jim Soucy regarding 87 Maple Avenue (under the TC-2 zoning district:
Mr. Senecal and Mr. Soucy return this evening with plan and list of items requested by the Board at the last meeting. The zoning bylaw pertaining to mixed use (commercial and residential) was referenced again. In 2005 Mr. Soucy was granted a permit by the ZBA to construct 20 townhouse style condominiums. He would prefer to construct rental apartments with a building(s) more in keeping with the design parameters of the TC district. Discussion ensued
Dick stated that he spoke with Mr. Joe Dellaquila. The only vernal pool he knew of is under the bridge. There are no vernal pools designated on Brintnal. Discussion ensued.
- May 10th Conference at Cape Cod on “Tools that Make Downtown’s Work”.
- Other: Mr. Gus Abalo of Eosol Americas (Solar proposal). Chairman will contact to check on status.
- Wind Turbines public hearing, May 14, 2013 at 7:00pm :
Susan will send legal ad to Central Mass Classified and mail notices to towns, etc.
- Annual Town Meeting : 5/18/13.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:48pm.
