Hearing opened at: 8:00pm
Carl Hultgren stated that he received a copy of the letter from DCR. He filed a variance application with them to do some work. DCR told Carl that he could do one section of the work but not the other section. Project got cut into 1/3rd, now we have to potentially build a roadway for 5 units as project got scaled back. DCR will allow modification on the road but not on Karen Way. Discussion ensued to include:
- Removal of boulders (gravel would need to be upgraded to have road passable in order for the town to accept ht road. Gary Kellaher of DPW would have to approve this.
- If gravel is proposed what kind of drainage would he have/
- Tim would like to see a two lane gravel road (not an over length dead end road.
- Mr. Israel questioned if this might be a separate project now.
Mr. Hultgren will speak with Gary Kellaher to see what the gravel road would have to look like to be accepted.
Public hearing was continued to 3/27/12 at 7:30pm.
