Finance Committee Minutes

Present: Iain McKinlay, Lyndon Nichols, Tom Ruchala, Karen Nahrwold, Brian Stidsen, Carol Martens
Absent: Sheryl Vernon

Mr. Ruchala opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m.
MINUTES
Mr. Nichols moved to accept the meeting minutes of May 31, 2018 as written. Mr. McKinlay 2nd. Vote unanimous.
Transfer Requests
Gary Kellaher, DPW Superintendent, presented a request to transfer $3,500 from the Town Vehicle Fuel account (001-431-5400-000; current balance $13,390.82) to the Highway Wages account (001-421-5130-000; current balance after Warrant #27: -$6,980.17).
Mr. Nichols moved to approve the transfer of $3,500 from the Town Vehicle Fuel account to the Highway Wages account, contingent on accountant certification. Mr. McKinlay 2nd. Vote unanimous.
Mr. Kellaher stated it was a difficult year with the snow & ice deficit; it's not getting any easier even going into FY19.
There was discussion about the scheduling of the next potential committee meeting & the general frequency of meetings during the summer months. (Next meeting not yet scheduled.)
There was discussion about Margaret Nartowicz, Town Administrator, leaving at the end of July. The committee discussed getting a card for Ms. Nartowicz for all members to sign.
Mr. Nichols moved to adjourn. Mr. McKinlay 2nd. Vote unanimous.
The meeting adjourned at 7:12 p.m.
