Discussions:
Demond Pond Watershed Association—members of their board attended the meeting to share their concerns with the declining state of the pond and surrounding areas. They just discovered another invasive weed, which they had treated about 1 month ago. It costs about $10,000 annually to treat the invasive weeds. Joe D. acknowledged the great job the DP Association has been doing with maintaining such a nice resource in the town. Their current concern in the last year is the siltation in the pond from surrounding areas, including the roadway. Board member, Thomas Olson, shared a letter written by former President of their association (Norman Hill), which outlined the specific decline of the body of water over the years. Joe said that he has spoken to Jennifer at the DCR to ask them to check out the pond.
In the meantime, the association has requested a walk through at the pond with the board members of the ConComm. Joe will follow up with Tom Olson to schedule a site visit in the near future.
James & Diane Montague—they are purchasing 16 Grizzly Dr. and learned about the need for a signed Certificate of Compliance in order to close on the property. The Commission is issuing a partial CoC because while the property has met all conditions, the roadway has not yet been accepted by the town. A CoC was signed and will be delivered to the attorney that sent original request.
Record Retention—Peter has spoken to Anita Carlson and was given some guidelines on how long certain records need to be retained (i.e. once a CoC is filed, we no longer need to keep the NOI on record). There are more specifics to clarify, so this topic of discussion will be continued at the next meeting on July 17th.
