DECEMBER 10, 2014 MEETING MINUTES

No Treasurer’s report; however, bills for the Library project presented, discussed, and approved.
The chairman reported that the Charter contract had been signed and returned (okayed) by Charter—we are awaiting a copy of the signed contract.
The chairman presented an update on the smoke alarm/detectors. He reported that he had spoken with Ken Glynn about performing the necessary work for us, however, Glynn stated that any municipal building work must be handled by a certified vendor—he is not. The Library alarm system requires some upgrades and Paul is scheduled to meet with Simplex Grinnell and Brian Lanko, from Bay Path to determine what is needed and who will be able to perform the actual work. Paul was told that in addition to the alarms a pull box and enunciator(s) is required.
We are still awaiting help from Charter tech people regarding layout and requirements for new Library facility.
Ray suggested that a raised floor be constructed under the Select Board desk.
Ray asked about the whereabouts of the Town flag—no definitive answer was provided.
There was much discussion regarding the Town Seal—how large, material, etc., to be placed in front of Select Board desk. Some suggestions as to how to duplicate it: Gary Kelaher probably has a decal(s); Fran Steiner could probably duplicate it; Perhaps Bay Path could render it also.

The chairman reported on back up storage of our BOS meetings. There was some discussion as to how long we should keep the records. Four (4) years seem to be the consensus, and perhaps provide the Town Clerk with each year’s worth of meetings on a drive. Paul will speak with Anita.
