Present: Joseph R. Becker – Chairman, Cherilyn A. Bulger - Clerk, Sheila H. Dibb, Gary Kellaher and Steve Cannell.
Budget meeting for fiscal year 2010
Meeting opened at 6:38 pm.
DPW/Water/Sewer
Discussion on water tank (warranty, leak protection system and valves). Repair of the water tank would cost $109,000 to fix it the right way permanently.
Alarm system on water tank should cost approximately $8,000. Installation of valves will be done in the spring.
Discussion on water user fees and water enterprise fund.
Discussion: 1. wages restructuring, 2. leak detection quotes, 3. pump station, 4. user fees, 5. indirect charges. Projected $13,000 in connection fees - $1,500 fee connection.
Mr. Cannell would like to keep and use it for chemicals.
Sewer - Mr. Kellaher explained that his budget looks okay as is. Some discussion on moving three articles into one article from October, 2007 ($290,000 +/-). Some discussion on sewer use rates.
Discussion on Highway Maintenance portion of budget - approximately $18,000 added (purchase services, gravel and public works).
Sweetpea land discussion.
