Minutes of the Growth Management Steering Committee
Lower Library, Blair Room
February 27, 2019 6:30 pm

Meeting was called to order around 6:30 pm by member Stillings
Meeting was held in the large meeting room, lower library and was broadcast and recorded live on Channel 192 Cable Access.  All present were so advised.
Members Present:
Jeff Stillings, for the Board of Selectmen
Ron  Barron, for Central Mass Regional Planning Commission, Chair
Michael Nicholson, Town Administrator
Shawn Moore, for the Conservation Commission
David George, Town Planner
Scott Gilroy, for the Board of Health
Joseph Buckley, Director of Public Works

Approximately 18 citizens were present.  A sign in sheet was passed around, a copy of which will be added to these minutes.
Stillings stated that this was a public information session and not a hearing.  A presentation will be given by the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission, after which there will be an opportunity for public comment and discussion.
The member panel introduced themselves.
CMRPC Presentation
Ron Barron from the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission presented a PowerPoint report of the findings of the CMRPC and Managed Growth Steering Committee.

CMRPC presentation concluded at approximately 7:08 pm.

The forum was then opened up for public questions and comments:
  • Increase of the water and sewer permits are likely
  • Discussion about a moratorium on building
  • Discussion about traffic study, need for traffic lights.  Ron will check and advise.
  • Discussion about a Master Plan update for the Town
The next meeting of the Managed Growth Steering Committee will be March 14, 2019 at 6:30, in the Library.
