Minutes
Call to Order by Chair Diane Aldi at 7:01 p.m.
Present were: Chair Diane Aldi, Mary Kennedy, Sharon Craft, Betsy Owen, Priscilla Funck, Joseph Termine
Absent: Don Mill and Mary Iadarola
Also Present: Sharon Tiezzi, Recording Clerk
Audience of Citizens - none
Review and Approval of Minutes – The May 11, 2017 minutes were tabled until the September meeting.
Review and Approval of Treasurer’s Report - A motion was made by Betsy Owen and seconded by Mary Kennedy to accept the treasurer’s report as presented by Jay Termine.
Motion carried unanimously.
Correspondence – Grub Club request for funds to cover the 2017-2018 year from Cathy Cobb. The proposal was reviewed by members. A motion was made by Mary Kennedy and seconded by Sharon Craft to accept the proposal as presented which is to cover the total cost of $2,450.00.
Motion carried unanimously.
Old Business – appointment of Representative to serve on the O.S. Youth & Family Commission. No offered to be appointed; will be discussed at the September meeting.
New Business – the Commission reviewed the OSPHN Report FY 2017 for the month of May sent by email to Chair Diane
Flanagan Fund – no report
Nightingale Fund – Members reviewed the 2016 Scholarship recipient’s transcripts. A motion was made by Betsy Owen and seconded by Mary Kennedy to approved the payment of $3,500 for each scholarship receipient: Libby Scherber, Julia DiBella and Sarah Smith.
Motion carried unanimously.
Morris Fund – no report
Adjournment - a motion was made to adjourn at 8:15 p.m. Chair Diane adjourned the meeting at 8:15 p.m.
