Present: Diane Aldi DePaola, Mary Kennedy, Sharon Craft, Joseph Termine, Janet Temple, Betsy Owen, Don Mill and Alternate, Linda Demas.
Also present: Sharon Tiezzi, Recording Clerk
- CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Diane Aldi DePaola called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Chair Diane introduced Linda Demas.
- AUDIENCE OF CITIZENS – The Nursing activities offered by the VNASC for the month of May 2014 are attached. Nicole Valente and her Mom, Carla came to thank the Board for presenting her with one of the nursing scholarships.
- APPROVAL OF MINUTES - A motion to approve the minutes of the May 8, 2014 meeting was made by Mary Kennedy and seconded by Sharon Craft.
Ayes 7, Nays 0, Abstentions 0; Motion carried.
- APPROVAL OF TREASURER’S REPORT – A motion was made by Mary Kennedy and seconded by Sharon Craft to accept the treasurer’s report as presented.

- CORRESPONDENCE – Thank you from Nicole Valente (hand delivered); Keanna Chang for her scholarship; and Nancy McCloud, school nurse for the Nursing Week gift.
- OLD BUSINESS – none
- NEW BUSINESS – The next meeting is September 11, 2014.
A motion was made by Janet Temple to approve the transfer of $850.00 of the Un-Contractual funds to the Social Services medical fund; seconded by Don Mills.

A motion was made by Betsy Owen to allow Chair Diane to purchase $400.00 in stamps; seconded by Don Mills.

- FLANAGAN FUND – Two requests were submitted to the board from school nurses Karen vonDer Horst and Mary Brigante to attend workshops over the summer. The one for Karen is $99.00 and the one for Mary is $239.00. Mary Kennedy made a motion to approve the seminar for Karen; seconded by Sharon Craft.

- NIGHTINGALE FUND – Last year’s scholarship recipients transcripts were received. The board reviewed them.
Janet Temple made a motion to approve the funds of $1,000.00 for Kelsey Pandani to be released; seconded by Sharon Craft.

Jay Termine made a motion to approve the funds of $3,000.00 for Kelsey Root to be released; seconded by Sharon Craft.

Mary Kennedy made a motion to approve the funds of $3,000.00 for Dana Pendleton to be released; seconded by Don Mills.

Sharon Craft made a motion to approve the funds of $3,000.00 for Emilie Green to be released; seconded by Betsy Owen.

Janet Temple made a motion to approve the funds of $1,000.00 for Christine DeAntonio to be released; seconded by Sharon Craft.

$395.00 more donations were received to bring the total this year in receipts to $5,940.00.
- MORRIS FUND – Janet Temple reported that she spoke with Y & F Director Heather McNeil about any ideas for these funds. Heather did have a few and will write up a proposal to be presented to the board in the Fall.
- ADJOURNMENT- A motion was made by Janet Temple to adjourn the meeting @ 8:45 p.m., seconded by Mary Kennedy.
