Board of Selectmen Minutes 07/25/2008
Town of Nottingham
Selectmen’s Workshop Minutes
July 25, 2008

9:10 AM  Chair Netishen opened the workshop and asked those present to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

Members Present:  Bill Netishen, Mary Bonser and Town Administrator, Charles Brown
The Board signed checks

Mr. Brown informed the Board of an additional increase in the cost of asphalt products. This may leave us with a short fall of funds to complete paving on Deerfield Road. The Road Agent had planned to retain a portion of Shim & Seal-Coat to offset the Highway Department Fuel and maintenance lines. The Selectmen feel the funds should be used to complete Deerfield Road paving. Mr. Brown will inform the Road Agent of the Board’s decision.

The Board continued by taking action on the final abatement requests.
Motion:  Netishen, second Bonser to approve a tax abatement for TM 68 L 92 based on review and CNP’s recommendation.
Vote:  All in favor.  Motion passed 2-0.
Motion:  Netishen, second Bonser to approve a tax abatement for TM 63 L 49 based on review and CNP’s recommendation.

Motion:  Netishen, second Bonser to approve a tax abatement for TM 71 L 67 based on review and CNP’s recommendation.

Mr. Brown informed the Board of the Animal Control Officer’s (ACO) action regarding a dog kennel on Mitchell Road. The ACO has been onsite on two different days and has found no violations in regard to the current complaint.

Motion:  Bonser, second Netishen to adjourn.
Vote:  All in favor.  Motion passed 2-0.

Having no further business,
Meeting adjourned at 10:07 AM.

Respectfully submitted,

Charles A. Brown
