MINUTES

Call to Order -7:00 PM with Selectmen Mullane, Murphy, and Donahue present.

Public Comments and Questions-Mrs. Bradshaw commented on Community Gardens and Firefly Farms.

Brian Rathbun asked why trees were cut on the Hewitt Farm near Greene Gables

Town Hall Stonewall-Karl Acimovic on Proposed Repairs Item #9-Karl Acimovic discussed basic design sequence of work, permitting process and cost estimates.

Minutes-A motion was made by Selectman Donahue and seconded by Selectman Murphy to approve the minutes of April 9, 2013, carrying.  3-0

Correspondence

Old Business-

1.           Tribal Issues-Acknowledgement Issues-Senators Blumenthal, Murphy and Representative Courtney will meet with BIA on changes to the (7) criteria of the acknowledgement system

   2.   Subdivision Review and Planning and Zoning Issues

              Affordable Housing/Incentive Housing regulations-No report

   3.   Permanent School Building Project Committee

              A. Permanent School Planning and Building Committee Projects

                             1.  Things to Do List-Working plans and estimate on High School Wall with single pane glass and poor insulation

                             2.  Sealing of Gymatorium, Final Wall-Work will begin shortly

                             3.  Failed Boilers at Middle School-BOF has approved funding, will be                                       sent to a Special Town Meeting.

   4.  96/96A Button Road- formerly -YMCA Property-Executive Session

   5.  Hewitt property

              A.  Committee Report-All trees cut as scheduled at Greene Gables

              B.  Dam Repairs-Re-Engineering-No new information

              C.  Community Garden Association proposal-General Discussion with Hewitt Farm Committee representatives and Community Garden group

   6.  Boombridge Road Bridge- Design-Planning for a Public Hearing by the end of May.

   7.  Grant applications/administration

              Water Study Ex. 92 X I95-Interview will be scheduled for April 18, 2013.

              Main Street Bridge-Selectman Mullane to send letter to Mastrobattisto on               unfinished items.

              Village Green Bridge-Corrective Action-Bids are due April 16, 2013—2:00 PM.  Bids received from New England Infrastructure $199,665 and Mattern Construction, $272,605.

Town Hall brook parking lot retaining walls-Above-Karl Acimovic draft specs and design and to arrange for borings

10   Budget 2012-13-Wash Station-No action

        Budget 2013-2014-General Discussion

              Tax Refunds/Tax Collections-Tax Collector will report on April 30th
