NEWTON BOARD OF SELECTMEN

PUBLIC MEETING
Chairman Doggett called the meeting to order at 6:18pm. In attendance were Selectmen James L. Doggett, Robert S. Donovan, Jr., Lisa L. Gonyer and Office Manager Mary B. Winglass. The meeting was audio taped; minutes were transcribed and typed by Office Manager Winglass.
Not present were Selectmen Matthew A. Burrill, Lawrence B. Foote and Town Administrator Nancy J. Wrigley.

- Review of 9 Steep Hill Drive
Present were Bert Lombard, Jr. and his family and Chief Building Official Ron LeMere.
Chairman Doggett explained the documents in hand for tonight’s meeting and his conversations with the State of NH Department of Environmental Services (DES) regarding 9 Steep Hill Drive.
Chairman Doggett stated that DES suggested for the Town of Newton to lift the cease and desist order from 9 Steep Hill Drive.
Selectman Gonyer moved to lift the cease and desist order from 9 Steep Hill Drive effective today. Second by Donovan with a unanimous vote.
Selectman Donovan added that Road Agent Mike Pivero is involved in that he will continue to keep an eye on the condition of the road; Lombard is to use Heath Street for all trucking and to keep the road clean.
Mr. Lombard requested a copy of the town zoning ordinance referencing the wetlands setback, a copy of the minutes from tonight’s meeting and for the town to put in writing that they have lifted the cease and desist order. Mr. Lombard gave his cellphone number and email address. Gonyer explained that the Town Administrator is not in today but will be back next week.
Selectman Gonyer moved to adjourn at 6:28pm. Second by Donovan with a unanimous vote.
