PUBLIC MEETING MINUTES
- Call to Order, Roll Call Vote
Chairman Donovan opened the meeting at 6:00 pm. In attendance were Selectmen Robert S. Donovan, Jr., James L. Doggett, Matthew A. Burrill, Larry B. Foote, Charles R. Melvin, Sr., and Town Administrator Nancy J. Wrigley. The Non-Public Meeting Minutes were transcribed and typed by Town Administrator Nancy J. Wrigley.
Selectman Donovan moved to go into Nonpublic Session under RSA 91-A:3 II (b) Fire Department. (a) – Police Department at 6:00 pm. Second by Selectman Doggett with a unanimous roll call vote: Donovan – aye, Doggett – aye, Burrill – aye, Foote – aye, Melvin – aye.
Selectman Larry Foote agreed to leave the meeting for the Fire Department Discussion.
Nonpublic Session under RSA 91-A:3 II (b) – Fire Department (a) – Police Department
Selectman Donovan moved to close the Non-Public meeting at 7:59 pm. Second by Selectman Melvin, with a roll call vote: Donovan – aye, Doggett – aye, Burrill – aye, Melvin – aye. The Selectmen reserve the right to keep all matters confidential until in the opinion of the majority of the members the circumstances no longer apply except to announce:
Selectman Doggett moved that William Higgins be appointed Interim Fire Chief. Second by Selectman Melvin. The effective date is 10/15/14 and for Captain Higgins to start training with Fire Chief Ingalls at a Grade XXIII Step 6.
The vote was Unanimous.
Chairman Doggett moved that Robert Zalenski be appointed as Interim Fire Department Administrator, effective 10/15/14 at a Grade XXIII Step 4, only when doing Administrative work. Second by Selectman Melvin. The vote was unanimous.
The Board requested on the October 21, 2014 Agenda under Non-Public to add the Fire Department RSA 91-A:3 II (b); and Personnel Matter under RSA 91-A:3 II (a).
Chairman Donovan moved to close the public meeting at 8:00 pm. Second by
Selectman Burrill. Unanimous.
