SELECTMEN’S MEETING AGENDA
May 4, 2009
The Newton Board of Selectmen will be holding a meeting on Monday, May 4, 2009 at the
Newton Town Hall starting at 5:30pm.
Nonpublic Session under RSA 91-A:3 II (a) – Compensation – Animal Control Officer (a) The dismissal, promotion, or compensation of any public employee or the disciplining of such employee, or the investigation of any charges against him or her, unless the employee affected (1) has a right to a meeting and (2) requests that the meeting be open, in which case the request shall be granted.
Nonpublic Session under RSA 91-A:3 II (c) - Tax Deeding and Code Enforcement. (c) - Matters which, if discussed in public, would likely affect adversely the reputation of any person, other than a member of the public body itself, unless such person requests an open meeting. This exemption shall extend to any application for assistance or tax abatement or waiver of a fee, fine, or other levy, if based on inability to pay or poverty of the applicant.
The public meeting will resume at approximately 7:30pm.

- U.S. Census Bureau will begin its first phase of the 2010 Census operation, Address Canvassing, beginning April 20, 2009 to July 6, 2009. Address Canvassing allows the Census Bureau to verify the address and physical location of each NH dwelling for accuracy.
- State of NH Dept. of Resources and Economic Development has tentatively scheduled to present at the Monday, June 1st Selectmen’s Meeting the State’s Economic Revitalization Zone Tax Credit. The public is encouraged to attend.
