Chairman Rick Bailey called the meeting to order at 7:14 pm with the following members present: Chairman Rick Bailey, Vice Chair Deb Holden, and Alternate/Secretary Lisa Babcock. Minutes were transcribed and typed by Lisa Babcock. Also in attendance – landscaper Dave Marden.
Bailey appointed Babcock to stand in for the evening.
2. Greenie Park: Mr. Marden discussed the maintenance of the fields at Greenie Park. He mentioned that he can get a price to put the bleachers on casters so they can be moved for mowing. Bailey said the bleachers belong to baseball. Mr. Marden will contact them.
Bailey mentioned the plans for a pavilion. He said the well will be collapsed and filled in. Mr. Marden said the chain and lock on the well belongs to him.
Mr. Marden asked about the downed trees. He will remove the one that fell on the skate park fence. Bailey said he would like to clear some brush along Heath Street. Since it is a scenic road this must be coordinated with the Conservation Commission and the tree warden. Bailey would also like Mr. Marden to be there.
The Commission will look into the process for the bids for next year.
Marden said that he will mow and clean up the grounds outside the fields prior to the Fall Festival. Holden will meet with Mr. Marden at the park to discuss removing some of the old playground equipment.
Mr. Marden departed at this time.
3. Fall Fair:
Empower Martial Arts will do a demo and set up a table.

Some of the planned events are: pumpkin seed spitting contest, sack races, fun run, crafts, scarecrow and apple pie contests, and face painting.
Recreation will also have a table with sign-ups for the e-mail distribution list, Greenie Park Committee, member recruitment, and sell Monarchs tickets.
