2. Boy Scout Eagle Project: Boy Scout, Kyle Kozec and Jack Kozec were in attendance.  Kyle said he is working on building a pavilion at Greenie Park for his Eagle Scout project and is requesting a letter of approval from Recreation.  The letter must also state that Recreation will accept ownership of the pavilion after it is built. Kyle is working on getting engineered plans for the 16’ x 24’ pavilion. It will be a post and roof design with a concrete slab.

Bailey told Kyle that he would also need to see the building inspector for a building permit. Bailey advised Kyle to come to another Recreation meeting when he gets cost estimates prepared.

Bailey moved to approve the Eagle Scout project to build a pavilion pending cost review to be presented by Kyle Kozec when available. Second by Holden. Motion carried unanimously.

Holden suggested that Kyle attend the Fall Fair to promote his project.  The letter will be sent to his home address.

3. Greenie Park Maintenance: Dave Marden has requested a meeting at Greenie with the commission members and some baseball members to review field maintenance.  Bailey said he is available any weekday morning at 7:30 am, 8:00 am this Saturday, or Friday evening at 6:00.

Holden said to ask Mr. Marden if he has a worker that could weed in and around the tennis court before the fall fair.  She also said to ask for a business card from Mr. Marden.

4. Senior Fall Foliage Tour: The trip is scheduled for October 5th. This is a 2 hour train ride out of Meredith, NH and includes a turkey dinner on the train.  The group will stop at a country store on the way home.

5. Fall Fair: Babcock will send an ad to the Carriage Towne News and Eagle Tribune. Holden will update the road-side signs and order a few more signs.
Newton Junction Baptist Church will give free hot dogs and will raffle a few prizes.  The First Baptist Church had said they wanted to participate, Babcock will contact the pastor.

Holden will contact the DJ, Grand Rental, Mad Science and an animal show.  She also suggested a petting zoo.  Babcock will organize the pony rides.  Bailey will contact Empower Martial Arts and donate a tennis lesson for the raffle.

Babcock will get a flyer ready for the schools and have it advertised in the Bridge and on the website.  We will try to get all the information about the different events before doing the school flyer, but if it is not possible to get that done in enough time for distribution a general flyer will be produced.
