UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
The Building Committee money acceptance has been postponed. It will be addressed in our August meeting.
A report from the CIPSIA, (Consumer Protection Safety Improvement Act)
was received by Terry. Terry explained that the report dealt with any new findings on the safety of items used by children. The report stated that three children’s book were found to have trace amounts of lead. Our library has none of the three books. The danger the books pose to children is unclear at this time. Terry will keep us posted concerning any new information the board should know about.

A memo from, Town Hall, has been received by Terry announcing a Safety Training workshop. Terry has signed up to attend.
A second quote on the office enclosure has been requested but has not been received as of this meeting.
Kathy and Sally attended the Harassment Workshop held at the Plaistow Library. Much of the workshop covered material that had been discussed at a town run harassment workshop. We did receive a handout describing the various kinds of harassment. This handout will be kept in the library for all the staff to review.
The recap of the Concord workshop will be given during our August 5th meeting.
The Friends of the library made $141 at their book and bake sale.
A motion was made, seconded and approved to cancel the July Trustee meeting. We will therefore be meeting next on August 5, 2009.
