CALL TO ORDER: 9:10 a.m.

SECRETARY’S REPORT: Read and accepted.
LIBRARY DIRECTOR’S REPORT: Read and accepted.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Reading of this report will take place on
Monday, January 10, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.
COMMUNICATIONS and CORRESPONDANCE:
- Another booklet from the Federal Energy Regulatory Committee was
received. It was an update of the first booklet.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
- The Gale Library’s personnel polices will be discussed at the February
meeting. Any changes will be addressed at that time.
- The repairs to the library’s roof have been completed.
- J.M. Services have been hired to take care of the security system.
They have completed phase one of a two phased updating. Phase two
will take place when monies are available.
- The new stairs for attic access have been approved by the selectmen.
- Security locks for the upstairs children’s section have been approved
by fire chief William Ingalls. The board voted to purchase the two
locks for a total of $84.98.
NEW BUSINESS:
- The need for some kind of traction strips for the ramp leading to
shed was discussed. It was decided that wooden slats, screwed to
the ramp would be used and installed by volunteers.
- Terry Caswell fixed the problem with back entrance door.
- A schedule of meetings for the Friends of the Library will be
forthcoming.
ADJOURNMENT: 10:10 a.m.
The special Gale Library trustee’s meeting scheduled for January 10, 2007
was postponed due to inclement weather. The matter to be discuss will be
taken up at the regular meeting on February 14, 2007.
