Gale Library Trustee Minutes
DATE: February 21, 2007 (February 14th was cancelled
due to the snowstorm.)

CALL TO ORDER: 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: Marilyn Landry, chairperson; Terry Caswell,
Library director; Carol Szot, treasurer; Sally
Woodman, secretary; Irene Nally, Friend of the
Library
SECRETARY’S REPORT: Read and accepted.
LIBRARY DIRECTOR’S REPORT: Read and accepted.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Both the end of the year and the January
report were read and accepted.
COMMUNICATIONS and CORRESPONDANCE:
- A Deed of Gift form was given to Terry. She needs to fill this
form out in order to present a gift to the Historical Society.
- A letter containing a check for $1500 was received from the Suraci
family. The gift is to enhance the children’s part of the library.
- A letter from The Friends of the Library announcing the gift of
$1,000 for the purchase of new technology was received.
- A New Hampshire Library Trustee newsletter has arrived.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
- Carol Szot was asked many questions about the structure of the
budget. She explained the various parts and their functions.
This discussion was lengthy and took a large portion of our
allotted time. Therefore, we will be discussing the Old Business
portion of this month’s agenda, next month.
NEW BUSINESS:
- It was unanimously voted to give the used monitor away.
- Discussion on the disposition of old financial ledgers will continue at the next meeting.
