Conservation Commission Minutes for April 1, 2010  

Attendance:
Peter, Trisha, Nancy, Sandy, Pat and Mary Anne.


        Peter called the meeting to order at 7:35pm.
        Kim recorded the minutes.
Correspondence:

  • NH Association of Conservation Commissions- 2010 Membership dues. Invoice for $250.00.
Nancy motioned to pay our 2010 Membership Dues. Seconded by Sandy. All in Favor.

  • Notice of Intent to Cut Wood or Timber. Map 8, Block 3, Lot 11.  20 Acres to be cut. Christine Lewis Morse, Centerview Hollow Land Company.
Nancy commented on the amount of mud located on the property. This is there second request to cut. Sandy suggested going on a site walk. Commission members reviewed their last Intent to Cut Request.  There had been two requests to cut with in a month’s time. Totaling 30,000 Oak trees and 70,000 White Pine trees.
Trisha motioned to go on a Site Walk Thursday April 8, 2010 at 5:00. Seconded by Peter. All in Favor. No further discussion.   


Updates from our last meeting.
  • Plan NH Mapping- Trisha and Sandy attended the most recent Plan NH meeting.
  • 2010 Contact List was distributed to all  Commission members that were present.
  • Jeffery McLeod and DTC invoices were delivered to the treasurer on Monday, March 22, 2010.
  • Email from Pheasant Crossing resident.
Peter motioned to reschedule the Site Walk for 2 and 4 Pheasant Crossing at 6:00 pm Thursday April 8, 2010. Sandy Seconded. All in Favor.
Discussion: Due to schedule conflicts, if either resident is unable to attend the Site Walk, Commission members will view their property from the street.  

Minutes Review:
Peter motioned to accept the minutes of March 18, 2010 as written. Trisha Seconded. All in Favor.  
 
 
Busch Farm
1. Trisha brought in maps that she plans on passing over to the boyscouts for their camporee. One of the maps gives an aerial view of the landscape. Trisha will give two maps to Dennis Quintell to minimize the size and then deliver to the Eagle Scouts.
 2. Peter suggested having the Eagle Scouts install the posts for our ‘Busch Farm Sign’ signs. An email will be sent to the Paul Taylor, Head of the Eagle Scouts.
        

Announcements:
Amnesty Day is planned for June 5 and June 6, 2010 at the Transfer Station.
