2007 PROPOSED BUDGET REVIEWS:

Pavlicek reviewed the budgets for the following department: 
Welfare/Family Services Administration:     $2,944 – Unchanged
Welfare/Family Services Direct Assistance:  $13,350 – Down $200
Code Enforcement:  $27,375 – Up $581
Parks & Recreation:  $71,824 – Up $11,357
Street Lighting:  $14,040 – Up $540
Zoning:  $12,820 – Down $388
Health Agencies:   $31,324 – Up $581
Executive:  $169,379 – Up $2,839
Police:  $422,038 – Up $15,444

            Pavlicek distributed a thank you card from the family of Del Harris.
            Pavlicek requested that a member of the Board be present at a hearing in Sutton held on November 19, 2007 for King Hill Road.
            The Board discussed the contract for the Velie Playground.  They wish to omit one sentence and then they will sign. Wright asked if there is a warranty on the equipment and if it was made in China.  Powell said they will forward these questions onto von Svoboda and then sign the agreement if the Board is satisfied with the answers.
            Powell discussed storm water management.  He would like to put this into a warrant and to start with Chalk Pond.
            The date of the last clean up day will be December 1st.
            Pavlicek presented the Board with a quote to frame the antique map of Fishersfield.  The Board agreed to the submitted quotation.
            Pavlicek announced that a new portable microphone and speakers have been purchased.
            Pavlicek stated that December 2nd will be the official tree lighting in Newbury.  Christmas caroling, music and refreshments are scheduled.
