New Boston Conservation Commission
Minutes from April 5, 2007

Members Present: B Tupper, C Wilson, B Dodge, J Nangle, R Balke, B Thomson
Reports -Minutes from March were presented and accepted

-Treasure’s report:  $693,106.70 in Conservation Account

LeBlanc/Bussier Subdivisions (TM 12/88 and 89) were approved by the Planning Board.  It was suggested that Ray Shea of Sanford Engineering be invited to explain the proposed conservation easement on these two properties.

LaChance (TM 2/112-2)  Two documents are being prepared for the proposed conservation easement.  The homeowners association will be responsible for the easement and NBCC will deal with that organization for any possible problems.

The Shakee Pond development is on hold until a traffic study has been completed by the town.  Cyndie Wilson suggested that a wildlife assessment be done on the adjacent Bussire property.  This would be sponsored and paid for by the NBCC.  A motion was made supporting this and approved by the NBCC.

SHB Properties will be putting in temporary culverts that have been approved DES.  It was suggested that they need to consider putting protection around the piles of dirt that have been collected to prevent run off into wetland areas.

Clark & Alexander (TM 11/113) have applied for D&F.  There will be extensive culvert work and it was recommended that we wait until there has been a response form DES.

It was suggested that the NBCC send a letter again to the Planning Board regarding a member of the NBCC seating on that Board.  Burr will poll Town Administrator and selectmen to ascertain if there is support.

Kenneth Barss (TM 14/90)  He would like to replace the existing structure with a prefabricated house.  The proposed structure may infringe upon the new Wetlands and Stream Corridor Conservation District that was passed by voters in March.  A site walk will need to be scheduled.

Burr will write article for May NB Bulletin.  Article will be on the logging at Saunders Pasture..
