MINUTES
FEBRUARY 5, 2008
Present: Jay Smith, Carole Bont, Patty Jenks, Freda Swan, Don Metz, Tish Smith, Simon Carr
Guests: Chief Pauline Field, Officer Shawn O’Keefe
1) The meeting was called to order at 11:30 AM.
2) The minutes of January 29th were approved.
3) Don described to Pauline and Shawn what was planned for the police department addition and the economics of it. There followed a general discussion concerning this matter emphasizing the flexibility of the addition.
4) Don asked if the cost of the bond would be lowered and Carole responded that she had been told that we won’t know until summer.
5) It was decided that Jay would present the financials at the upcoming meetings.
6) The Committee asked the Selectmen (through Simon) to appoint a sub-committee to research the filing system and that this committee should include Dave Hewitt and Bill Lewis.
7) Tish made a motion that at meetings the information would be presented by single people because of confusion with so many people presenting information. The motion passed unanimously.
8) Don reported that he and Frank would be meeting with Paul Hodes representative on Thursday to discuss possible sources of money.
9) The meeting adjourned at 12:20 PM.
