MINUTES
Present: Patty Jenks, Carole Bont, Freda Swan, Simon Carr, Frank Bowles, Don Metz, Tish Smith, Tony Pippin, Pete Bleyler, Michael Woodard.
Guest: Jay Smith
1) The meeting was called to order by co-chairman Bowles at 11:35 AM.
2) It was agreed to meet on Mondays at 2:30 PM.
3) The minutes of June 5 were accepted.
4) There was a review of the groups we would meet with as follows:
a) Library Trustees Aug 13 1:30 PM
b) Utility Club end of Sept.
c) Those Guys July 4 , 6 AM
d) Lyme Foundation July 31 4:30 PM
e) Fire Dept. still to set up
5) Metz reported that he had talked with Flickenger about the Simi building and reported that he had been told there would be no changes in the present use.
6) Patty, Carole and Simon reported on the Community Acceptance meeting that they attended. Our plan is missing public input and vision. We need to prove need (what are we getting for our tax dollars: access, safety, fire safety, cost of reconstruction, loss of records would shut down town), capital improvement plan, what happens to space we move out of and maintenance of that space, cost of fixing that space, share ideas from public.
7) Meeting adjourned at 12:45 PM.
