MINUTES
Present: Simon Carr, Tish Smith, Patty Jenks, Mike Woodard, Pete Bleyler, Frank Bowles, Don Metz
Absent: Freda Swan, Tony Pippin, Tom Hunton, Carole Bont, Tony Pippin
Guest: Jay Smith
1) This meeting was called to order at 11:35.
2) The minutes of July 2, 2007 were approved.
3) Don and Frank had been working on “mission statements” and the proposed revision was discussed in detail. Don will put together revision #3 for the committee to approve for distribution.
4) Don is the guest speaker at the “Those Guys” breakfast on Wednesday morning.
5) Mike Woodard made the motion that Jay Smith be appointed as an official member of this committee. Motion was seconded and moved in the affirmative by voice vote. Simon will take this recommendation to the Board of Selectmen for consideration. Don and Frank need to address missing members.
6) The David Provan will attend the July 31st meeting to offer advice for our cause. All committee members are encouraged to attend.
7) There was a short discussion about potential fundraising strategies. To be continued…
8) This meeting was adjourned at 12:35 pm.
9) Next meeting to be held on JULY 17, 2007 at 11:30 in the Fire Station Conference Room.
