MINUTES
Attending: Pete Bleyler, Patty Jenks, Town Clerk, Carole A. Bont, Administrative Assistant, Don Metz, Tish Smith, Mike Woodard
Guests: Geoff Thornton
Pete called the meeting to order at 11:32 am.~
1. Pete asked about organizing information for the Public Hearing scheduled for Tuesday evening 3/21.
2. Carole will bring and set up displays previously used at Little Town Meeting & Town Meeting.
3. Patty will do a ListServe alert.
4. Rumor has it that Nichols Hardware has a buyer.~ Don will investigate following this meeting & get back to us.
5. It appears at this time the Upper Valley Land Trust property is the most economically feasible site we have to work with. Geoff will proceed with more work on feasibility drawings based on this presumption.
6. It was suggested that now would be a good time to do some site visits to other new and/or renovated municipal buildings around the area. Carole will make some calls and organize a day trip for this purpose.
7. Michael will work on a document for a preliminary agreement between the Town of Lyme and UVLT so that we may legally and agreeably proceed with necessary site testing such as test holes.
8. Basic timeline for future activity:
a. From 4/1/06-6/30/06~~ fine tune drawings and site plan including inventory needs
b. 4/1-4/15/06~~~~~ schedule test holes to be dug-Don will do this;
c. 4/15/06-5/15/06~~~~~~~~~~ consider contract & options if no other site has come to the attention of this committee for consideration.
It was agreed that as many members of this committee would attend the Public Hearing.
The meeting adjourned at 12:30 pm.
