NEW TOWN OFFICES COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
January 13, 2009
Members Present: Don Metz, Frank Bowles, Jay Smith, Simon Carr, Judy Brotman.
Public: Patrick Silver, Lyndonville Supply
The meeting was officially opened at 8:00 am by Co-Chair Frank Bowles.
- The public and non-public minutes of December 23, 2008 were approved.
Don Metz reported on the building progress:
- The fire-code sheet rock is installed;
- There is some trim remaining to be completed;
- The new roof is mostly finished;
- The cupola is installed;
- Insulation and windows will be installed soon;
- Outside trim and siding will begin soon;
- Wiring is almost ready to be done;
- The project is going well.
- The “grill screen” for the town clerk’s counter is approved and will be ordered.
- Building Identification signs will be spec’d out and the area will be constructed to specifications so the signs can be fit in (not added on) at the appropriate time.
- The possibility of a tour of the facility before town meeting was proposed. There may also be some mounted photos of the project available on boards for Town Meeting.
- Patrick Silver of Lyndonville Office Supply joined the committee to discuss the office partitions. There is a six week lead time from order to delivery for the partitions.
- Patrick, Frank and Don will tour the facility following the close of the meeting so Patrick can get a feel for the space and make some measurements.
- Meeting adjourned at 9:05 am.
