1. Presentation- Sheriff Darnell, Annual Report
Sheriff Darnell introduced her staff and went over the Annual Report for the City of Hawthorne
2. Proclamation- Bicycle Month
The City Commission presented a Proclamation from Governor Rick Scott.
E. ~CITIZEN COMMENTS
Ms. Janice Brown Stallings- Was given 3k pine trees and they need help planting them at LOCNP.
Mr. Winfred Jenkins- Ask the City Commission to please look into putting benches in downtown Hawthorne so people can sit and enjoy the scenery.
Mr. Lenton Herring- Commend the City Commission on doing a great job. Have witnessed people turning on the wrong side of State Road 20/Hawthorne Road because there is no sign at the corner of his street that tells which way to turn.

2. Resolution- Calling the 2015 Annual Election
City Manager Vause- The Mayor and City Manager shall post a notice calling the 2015 City Election on June 9, 2015.

3. Resolution- FLC 89th Conference Advertisement
City Manager Vause- Staff recommends buying an advertisement in the FLC special conference issue of Quality Cities for the 2015 Conference in Orlando. The ¼ page is $250.
Moved to adopt the Resolution as presented and purchase a ¼ page for the FLC.

4. Resolution- CSX Application for Utility Installations
City Manager Vause- The applications to the water line for the Love’s Travel Plaza have been executed. All fees have been waived with the exception of CSX. There fee is $2500.00

5. Resolution- HYS Contract

6. FDEP Wastewater Permit Renewal Application Preparation
City Manager Vause- Staff recommends approving the resolution authorizing Mittauer & Associates to prepare the FDEP Renewal Application for the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

A. Ordinance- Cross Connection Plan
City Manager Vause- A cross connection plan is where under certain circumstances the user is required to install and maintain a backflow preventer device and or such other control methods stated in the ordinance to me the cross connection requirements.

Commissioner Roberts- Super Senior trip to Tallahassee made the newspaper. Senior picnic pot luck open to the public on tomorrow at 11AM.

4. Mayor Surrency- Thanks to the City Commission for making the trip to Tallahassee for the seniors possible. Thank you to the City Clerk for her hard work in recognition of City Clerk Week. Boundary Adjustment Act approved. June 14 is Active Streets in downtown Hawthorne.
