Meeting Minutes for September 4, 2007

Meeting commenced at 7:38 pm
Minutes of the August 14 meeting were not reviewed.
Discussion: Rules and Procedures document
- Need for a flow chart explaining all steps in filing an application for work in Historical Districts.
- Mention Web site in document.
- Mention Historical Gift Fund and procedure for giving.
- Need for Rules and Procedure document to spell out clearly how the Commission is to proceed in the application process.
- Define term limits for members and officers
- Define expectations of HHC members in respect to duties and assignments (i.e., serving on committees, not missing more than three consecutive meetings or six meetings in a year)
- Establish procedure for dismissal of member(s)
- Establish procedure for follow up inspection of work done
- Establish procedure for non-compliance by an applicant
- In conclusion it was suggested that this discussion continue at next meeting where more members participate in the discussion and that we could be working with a rough draft at that time.
Discussion of Activities:
- Historic District signs were discussed and possible funding by a Community Preservation grant
- Demo Delay Bylaw discussed and decided to continue discussion at next meeting
