Finance Committee Minutes – 24 February 2007, Town Hall
Meeting called to order at 9:10 a.m.

Potential Deficits FY07 Budget Analysis:
Tim to draft a letter to all budget heads, explaining the budget process and their responsibilities. Additionally, Tim will follow-up with non-school omnibus accounts which are currently over-budget, and ask how they plan to pay for their overruns.
Library:
Reviewing the changes resulted in a net savings of $37k (Option 1) versus $41k (George’s number). The dollars associated with the Facilities Manager were moved to the Town buildings. There is still a shortfall from what’s budgeted in the budget.FC requested that the library check into the feasibility of moving incremental electric costs to the Public Buildings account; Mary Wilson would check and get back to us.
Warrant changes:
Update the benefit shifts for school and town, just to publicize the difference.
Willie Wickman, who was there, was asked what steps, if any, the School Committee had taken regarding the allegations involving Tom Jefferson and Paul Wormser. She responded that nothing improper was done and that she had talked with an attorney.
