The meeting was called to order at 9:00 A.M. by Chair, Leo Blair in the Town Hall Meeting Room.
DEVENS ENTERPRISE COMMISSION – Tim Bragan made clarification that an elected official can not sit on the DEC. Peter Brooks is an elected Planning Board member who was recommended for appointment as an Associate member in July along with Eric Stoltzus for Commissioner. The Board was under the impression that John Knowles had resigned but he has still been attending Commission meetings. Leo Blair suggested he contact Mr. Knowles to confirm if he intends to continue to serve on the Commission and then the BOS can act on any changes at their next meeting.
STATE ELECTION WARRANT – On a Wallace/Blair motion, the Board voted unanimously to sign the state warrant for the November 4, 2008 election.
REVIEW SPECIAL TOWN WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING – The Board discussed next steps if article on no billing for Ambulance services passes and stressed the importance of citizens coming out to vote on this issue.
On a Wallace/Clark motion, the Board voted unanimously to sign the warrant for the Special Town Meeting on Tuesday, October 28th as amended.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 A.M.
