BOARD OF SELECTMEN MEETING MINUTES
Georgetown Middle/High School

Selectmen Present:      Evan O’Reilly; Gary Fowler; C. David Surface, Clerk; Stephen Smith

Others Present: Michael Farrell, Town Administrator; Janet Pantano, Administrative Assistant

Call to Order
Mr. Surface called the meeting to order at 6:05PM.  

Board Business
Ms. Pantano asked about pro-rating a common victualler license for Dina’s Roast Beef.  Board agreed that they do not have a policy for this and have not pro-rated licenses in the past.  Board asked for a survey of license fees from neighboring towns when we work on the license SOP.

Board Business
Special Town Meeting Warrant
Discussion on who would read the motion for the School Feasibility Article.  Mr. Surface stated that he would read the motion and that he felt a Selectmen should give this motion.  Article 2 to be read by Planning Board member Hugh Carter or Harry LaCortiglia.

Mr. Farrell stated that Sandy Gerraughty is going to make a motion to vote on Article 2 first.

Mr. Farrell stated that the Selectmen need to find a citizen to fill the Selectmen’s appointment to the CIP.  It was decided to ask Ms. Enos to make a request to the attendees of Town Meeting.

Mr. Surface stated that the next meeting on November 22nd would have an Executive Session at 6:15PM and then a Tri-Board meeting at 7:00PM.  Mr. Farrell stated that he would like to have a budget discussion at the meeting.  He stated that he has a 5-year budget with revenue numbers.  Mr. Surface asked if we would have any State numbers.  Mr. Farrell stated that the MMA is projecting a 5% cut maybe a 10% cut in State aid.  Discussion on inviting State Representatives to the Tri-Board meeting.  Decision to wait until after the beginning of the year.  

Restaurants
Mr. Smith stated that last weekend all three new restaurants Keon’s, Rory’s, and the Sports Depot were full and that we have a good mix in town now.

Mr. Smith moved to adjourn to the Special Town Meeting.  Mr. O’Reilly seconded the motion and the motion was approved by a unanimous vote.

Meeting adjourned at 6:25PM.
