Cemetery Commission
November 21, 2011
Present: Betsy Wiederhold, Bob Abbott and Ethel MacStubbs
Phyllis Naegli attending.
The Town’s Public Assistance Administrator, Phyllis Naegli, came to clarify for us her role in the indigent burial process. We discussed our concerns with scenarios we thought could possibly arise. Phyllis brought a packet of info with her mandated duties along with multiple copies of the same. Bob will take copies to both Keaveny and Kaufhold thinking to bring more awareness of our duties and limitations regarding the issue. It was clear that within her capacity as P.A.A. Phyllis would do whatever was possible to assist the needy.
The issue of the tree in #3 North was discussed. Betsy and Bob met with two tree removal men. All felt the tree needed to come down. One did not have the proper equipment as the rot in the trunk required a crane. Roblee said he would do it for $940.
and leave the wood for the public wood box.
All present were in favor of accepting the bid and going ahead as soon as possible.
We will take the necessary funds from unused budget lines.
The new DEED form was approved.
Ethel will draft a new budget request form.
Minutes of Nov 14th meeting accepted as read.
Next meeting will be to clarify the General Maintenance Trust Fund with Henry Kunhardt at a yet to be determined time.
