Meeting Minutes
November 14, 2011

Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM. Betsy Hardwick, Scott Carbee and Abigail Arnold in attendance. Members of public included Tom Anderson, Polly Freese, BJ Carbee, Maureen VonRosenvinge.
Public Hearing: After discussion, Arnold moved to authorize the expenditure of $30,125 of unanticipated revenues from FEMA for Russell Station bridge expenses. Carbee 2nd. All in favor.
Spending Authorizations. Approved repair of queen truss in Town Hall, new furnace for Town Hall, shape maps, and new computer for Selectmen’s office
2012 Selectmen Budget lines: Significant changes include proposed increases of $17,000 in administrative salaries and $10,000 in building repairs. Discussion in more detail at November 16th budget meeting.
Update by Stewart Brock, School Representative: Topics covered included bus routes, 2012 preliminary budget, possible changes to the articles to reflect declining enrollments; continued full time kindergarden in Francestown; ok to use elementary school for Town meeting
Personnel Policy: Unanimous vote to add page numbers and to approve change to vacation benefits and personal leave. ( relevant sections attached)
Groundskeeping. Shrubs and overhanging limb in driveway need cutting.

Letters to GW Morgan for completion of Level 1 Roads Scholar Program; Sorrell MacKay regarding cleaning compensation; Fire Wards regarding need to meet 2011 budget numbers
Authorization to Normandeau Associates to convert tax maps to shape map format.
It costs about $80 per lot to change tax maps. Planning Board will be asked to reflect in fees.
Minutes approved: October 3rd, 10th and 31st. November 7th and 9th.
Announcements:
New Selectmen’s Administrative Assistant, Christine Lavery, to begin full time the week before Christmas. Will also work part time in the first few weeks of December.
Master Plan Committee has requested that Seletmen attend November 29 meeting at 7 PM at Library
