This amendment was introduced on March 24. Walmart received temporary approvals for the operation of the garden center from the Planning Board during the time that the expansion project was being reviewed. With the rezoning of the area to VC1 the previous configuration of the garden center is no longer permitted. A special district would allow Walmart to continue using the area as allowed prior to the rezoning and exempt the project from Site Plan Approval by the Planning Board. Full site plan review triggers a complete zoning review of the entire parcel.

The zoning amendment has been amended slightly to increase the period allowed for Walmart to screen the bale and pallet storage. The zoning map has been finalized. |
