Public Hearing on an amendment to the Zoning and Site Plan Review Ordinance to accommodate the construction by Casco Bay Hockey Association of a covered ice rink, locker rooms and bathrooms at Village Park.

A public comment period will be included with this item (5 minutes).

ACTION: Schedule Order.

Summary:

The Town Council has agreed to accommodate the construction of a covered ice rink with locker rooms and bathrooms at Village Park. This project requires some relaxation of zoning, including the need for site plan review by the Planning Board and some provisions in the VC1 district. Please find attached an introduction letter, the orginal amendment, MRA hearing notes from the Planning Board, the redrafted amendment and updated plans and letter from Casco Bay Hockey Association.
