Discussion and presentation from Falmouth Memorial Library Board of Trustees regarding the Library's need for expansion and renovation.

Town Council rules dictate that a public comment period would not be typically permitted with this type of agenda item, however, there will be a motion to suspend the rules to allow public comment. If the Town Council unanimously agrees to suspend the rules, public comment will be allowed.

ACTION: Council action is not anticipated.

Summary:

The Falmouth Memorial Library Board of Trustees (FML) has hired Scott Simons Architects (SSA) to assist them with the preliminary design of a building expansion and renovation. SSA led a design charrette earlier this year and there have been two public forums and presentations offered at the Library this fall.

Representatives of FML will offer a review of FML's needs and an update on the preliminary design process. The presentation is attached.
