By state statute, ballots must follow a specific format. Offices to be filled are the first items on the ballot.The candidates for office are listed alphabetically. These are followed by referendum questions. At this time we have two referendum questions:
- The renovation of the Plummer-Motz/Lunt school complex
- Budget Validation Referendum on the School budget to be adopted on May 16, 2011 (BVR)
Attached please find two draft ballots.The Council has the authority to decide the placement of each referendum question. Staff recommends the renovation of the Plummer-Motz/Lunt school be placed as Question 1 because it had been previously referred to as "Question 1" at the March 28 Council meeting. |
