The Maine Department of Transportation has approved a movement permit associated with the new elementary school. Part of the approval includes a condition that the town will prohibit on-street parking in this area in exchange for not requiring the town to install a second left turn access to the Middle School and Elementary School.
A copy of the proposed amendment is attached.
Charter Section 213 states: "An ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption by the council or at such later time as it may specify." The Town Council will consider a specific effective date. |
