Order to change the Town Council regular May meeting date to Tuesday, May 26, 2009.
Order to combine the June 22, 2009, Town Council regular meeting with the annual Town Council Organization meeting on June 15, 2009, and to cancel the June 8, 2009, Town Council workshop and special meeting.

The Town Council Rules, Section 1. states the following: "The regular meetings of the Town Council shall normally be held in the Town Hall at 7:00 p.m., or a time set by the Chairperson, on the fourth Monday of each calendar month except for an organizational meeting, which shall be held in accordance with the Town Charter. When said day falls on a holiday or on Election Day, the regular meeting shall be held on the following Wednesday, at the same time and place. The date of any regular meeting may be changed upon vote of five members of the Council,
provided, however, that said change in date will still provide for one regular meeting in each month."
If the Town Council chooses to meet on May 26, this rule requires the Town Council to approve an order to move the "regular" May meeting to Tuesday, May 26, rather than Wednesday,May 27. A meeting date change during this week is necessary because of the Memorial Day Holiday.
This rule also requires the Town Council to approve an order to change the June "regular" meeting date if the Town Council is inclined to combine the annual organization meeting with the June "regular" meeting. |
