This item was introduced by Councilor Libby at the September 22, 2008 Council meeting.
The Council's Ad hoc Governance Committee is suggesting minor modifications to the proposed ordinance. Those changes are incorporated into the first attached file, titled TermChangesRevised101308.pdf. The changes allow for current Board/Committee members to stay in their positions beyond December 31 in the event that the Council does not have the opportunity to implement all the provisions in the proposed ordinance. There is one other modification to the last section that will give the Council flexibility relative to the length of terms for ad hoc committees.
