Community Preservation Committee Meeting

The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) held a meeting in the Mural Room, Lower Level of the Town Hall on Thursday, April 27, 2006 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Members present included Chairman Holly Morris, Nancy Bennett, Tony Kelso, Brendan Keohan, Sarianna Seewald, and George Wadsworth. Pat Loring was absent. Also present were Joe Grady, Conservation Administrator and Frank Mangione from Fiscal Advisory Committee.

PROJECTS UPDATE
Bluefish River Firehouse – Ms. Bennett reported on the progress of the renovation.
Wright Building - Ms. Morris reported that there was a preliminary meeting regarding the leases with the Historical Society and the Youth Group with the Town Manager and Town Counsel. Ms. Bennett reported the Historical Commission has received notice that the Wright Building will be placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Tarkiln Building – Ms. Bennett reported that the Historical Commission has scheduled a public hearing regarding the building for May 31, 2006 for the users of the building and residents.
Delano Housing Projects – Mr. Keohan reported on the progress of the two housing projects.
OTHER BUSINESS
Ms. Morris reported she had contacted the Tax Bureau regarding the question of whether revenues generated from properties bought with CPA funds go into the CPA Fund or General Fund. She will ask for a written decision.
ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
The CPC signed expense bills.
