Community Preservation Committee Meeting

The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) held a meeting in the Mural Room, Lower Level of the Town Hall on Thursday, May 20, 2004 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Members present included Chairman Holly Morris, Brendan Keohan, Tony Kelso, Pat Loring, Arthur Vautrain, and George Wadsworth. Jody Hall was absent. Joe Grady, Conservation Administrator was also present.
OPEN FORUM
Frank Mangione thanked the CPC for coming to the Finance Committee meeting and reported that the Committee would be continuing its discussion of the warrant articles at its next meeting.
USE DESIGNATION OF WRIGHT BUILDING & FUNDING CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS/BIDDING PROCESS
CPC agreed that the use designation of the building was not a CPC purpose. Ms. Sullivan reported that Town Counsel confirmed that the Board of Selectmen has the right to designate the use. The architect will forward proposed cost figures this week.
ASSIGNED TASKS FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
Speakers for the various articles were designated. The CPC also discussed handouts for the meeting.
FINANCIALS FOR SELECTMEN AND FINANCE/FISCAL ADVISORY
Selectman Betsy Sullivan reviewed the CPA fund revenues and expenditures with the CPC.
OTHER BUSINESS
Ms. Morris reported that the Planning Director, Christine Stickney is looking for the representative from the CPC to be appointed to the Local Housing Partnership.
The CPC signed bills for back taxes on the Swanson parcel and electricity at the Delano house.
