Community Preservation Committee Meeting
Thursday, January 22, 2004

The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) held a meeting in the Mural Room, Lower Level of the Town Hall beginning at 8:00 a.m.  Members present included Chairman Holly Morris, Jody Hall, Tony Kelso, Pat Loring, and George Wadsworth. Diane Bartlett and Arthur Vautrain were absent.  Mr. Wadsworth was Acting Chairman until Ms. Morris arrived at 8:30 a.m.  Joe Grady, Conservation Administrator was also present at the meeting.

OPEN FORUM
Ms. Ruth Rowley, 546 Washington St. reported on a meeting sponsored by resident Steve Jones regarding a possible proposal to reduce the Community Preservation Act funds in order to fund school budget cuts.

TOWN MEETING WARRANT ARTICLES
The Committee reviewed the four proposed articles.  Ms. Morris will get final wording to the Board of Selectmen.

It was recommended that the Committee report on its accomplishments and the status of the Wright Building and O'Neil Farm proposals at Town Meeting.

HOUSING UPDATE
Mr. Grady reported on the State's visit to the Delano house.

WRIGHT BUILDING
Ms. Morris reported on the status of selecting an architect for the Wright Building study.

OTHER BUSINESS
The Committee meeting scheduled for February 5 has been changed to Wednesday February 4, 2004 and the meeting on February 19 has been changed to Thursday, February 26, 2004.

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
The Committee reviewed the draft minutes of the meetings for 1/8/04. Mr. Wadsworth made a motion that was seconded by Ms. Hall.
        Motion: to approve the minutes of the meeting on 1/8/04 as written.
          Vote:  5 – in favor; 0 – opposed.  Motion passed.

The Committee reviewed and signed the bill for an oil delivery at the Delano house.

Meeting adjourned at 9:45 a.m.
