Gale LaBelle asked if taxes need to be current before the license could be transferred or if any permit could be issued if taxes are due. George advised that there is a payment plan in place for the taxes. He also advised that as long as there is a payment plan in place, the license transfer and any other permit could be issued by the town. Madeleine Swindlehurst stated that she felt that the Becket General Store is doing a wonderful job. The store is clean and attractive and the employees are friendly but she wanted to know who the license is
being transferred to. Heather Anello introduced herself to the Board and the public. She is incorporated as Becket General Store, Inc. She explained that she is not buying the building she is just purchasing the business. She stated that she is very easy to work with and she feels that if the Board grants the license transfer it will be pleased with her running the store.
