Meeting Minutes

D. Schreiber called the meeting to order at 7:31.

New Business

W2015-45 Application for Agricultural Exemption at 8 Burt Latham Road (Map 9 Lot 23 Zone R80) Owner/Applicant: Kim E Ridzon (Received November 23, 2015 Public Hearing or decision by December 7, 2015)

Kim Ridzon was present.  The Commission looked at the application and read the letter from John Ianni regarding the activity from October.  T. Gutowski said she is satisfied with the application and John Ianni’s letter.  

T. Gutowski motioned to approve W2015-45.  M. Drobney seconded.  All in favor.  Motion carried.

Violation/Order for 8 Burt Latham Road

T. Gutowski motioned that the order has been satisfied.  M. Drobney seconded the motion.  All in favor.  Motion carried.  

W2016-2 Application to build an addition in upland review area at 136 Pinney Hill Road (Map 14 Lot 7 Zone R80) Owner/Applicant: Village Springs Corp (Received January 25, 2016 Decision or Public Hearing by March 28, 2016)

The applicant was present.  

T. Gutowski and D. Schreiber went on a site walk of the property.  She said they saw the area of new construction which amounts to 10 square feet or less of construction on the paved driveway.  The Commission looked at the plans.  

The applicant said the foundation would be concrete and will connect to the existing footing drains.  T. Gutowski said she would like to see the erosion control monitored.  The applicant said, when they dig the dirt out, it will go in the footprint.  He said they would put silt fencing in.  S. Yorgensen asked the location of CL&P’s pole and the applicant said they are going to bury the power.  

T. Gutowski motioned to approve W2016-2 with the following condition:

  • stabilization to be put in place as needed within 100 feet of disturbance
M. Drobney seconded the motion.  All in favor.  Motion carried.

W2016-1 Application for a Timber Harvest at 162 Village Hill Road (Map 47 Lot 36 Zone R80) Owner: Ryan Danser Applicant: Stephen Acerbe (Received January 25, 2016 Public Hearing of Decision by March 28, 2016)

The applicant was not present.  The Commission looked at the plans and would like to conduct a site walk.  They would like the person doing the timber harvest to attend the site walk or would like an extension.  The site walk was scheduled for March 5, 2016.

Minutes

The approval of minutes from December 7, 2015 was tabled.
